Scholars who live more than 45 miles from Athens receive free accommodations on campus. Can I attend both Modeling with Algebra and Modeling with Geometry in the same summer?

You can attend the Modeling with Algebra institute in June and the Modeling with Geometry institute in July. Both groups come together for the combined presentation days in August and the 1-day follow-up workshops in October and February. There are no scheduling conflicts between the two programs. Where are the accommodations for residential participants, and will I have to share a room?

Each program is 4 semester hours of graduate credit, comprised of 2 hours of mathematics credit (MATH 5900) and 2 hours of mathematics education workshop credit (PCOE 5900). The course will be complete and grades will be posted at the end of the second summer session. They should show on your transcript by early fall.

Will the Modspar program pay for my substitute teacher on the days I attend the two follow-up workshops? For 2017-18, the Modspar program will reimburse your school district up to $100 per day for the cost of your substitute teacher. How do I apply?
